So, we returned to France with visas in our passports alright, but... (There's always a but, isn't there? Otherwise, what fun would it be?) These visas are for one-time entry, so that we can apply for our Cartes de Sejours (basically residency permits) at the prefecture.
Until we get those, we can't leave France, which is preventing me from going on a business trip next week. Weird, eh?
So, I think we're supposed to have an appointment on the 13th, but I haven't gotten confirmation on that yet, just a supposition in an email from the visa lady.
This was supposed to happen within 8 days, but I guess they're going to cut us some slack. We'll see. Wish us luck.
