Last night we dragged our tired selves to the restaurant with the great fois gras, called Onzième Art (11th Art). It was unanimous that the fois gras was delicious.

We slept like drugged babies (thanks to Pete Sicilia for that one) and got up before dawn to head to the office. It was Dennis' first day, but for me and Jim, it was business as usual.

The good news: We got paid today! Finally!

The bad news: It's going to take three days for the wire transfer to clear.

More good news: Dennis got his Carte Bleu today! (This means he can buy stuff from Frenchie machines, since US cards don't work in them.)

I bought Carte Orange tickets for us yesterday, so now we can go almost anywhere on the Metro for the month of December. They cost 50€ each, which seems like a lot when you compare it to the SF Muni, but the Paris metro is so much larger, that it's really worth it. No. Really.

I cooked dinner tonight, after fetching it from the markets: Chicken breast coated in parmesan cheese, fried, and coated with spicy arrabiata tomato sauce, along with sauteed spinach with garlic and lemon. We had cheese and dates for dessert. How French are we?

Here are pics that D took of our apartment:

I can't wait until we're in our new place. Oh, tonight as we left, the Champs Elysses was all lit up for Christmas. Pretty!
